I embarked on my journey as a more refined prop-maker with Forget Me Not, a haunting tale of body horror and violation that continues to make my skin crawl. This is a Modern Era Call of Cthulhu scenario; where a budget ghost-hunting show awaken to warped metal and the stench of fuel in their wrecked van. What’s worse, is that they cannot recall what happened in the past few hours.

Forget Me Not excels in its heavy subject matter and effective story-telling. It is my belief that Forget Me Not has underlying allusions of disassociation in response to sexual violence, with a similar style to films like I Spit on Your Grave (1978) and Mulholland Drive (2001). Game Masters should be aware of these mature themes, and whether this scenario is appropriate for your group of Investigators.

Forget Me Not is available in Stygian Fox’s The Things We Leave Behind, a compilation of mature themed modern scenarios that are an absolute tour-de-force.

The resources kit (7.23 MB) for Forget Me Not contains the following:

  • A Keeper’s Cheat Sheet
  • The Supernatural Files (TSF) Identification Cards (Form-Fillable)

  • Emails (Revised version of Handout #6)
  • An X-Ray Image
