This is the ultimate introduction to Delta Green. Game Masters who come across Operation FULMINATE: Sentinels of Twilight would typically do so after digesting the previous 340 pages. All that knowledge gained, from the origins of the titular organization to the creatures that Agents may encounter in their stories, come to a head with this succinctly made scenario that packs a whole load of oomph! Set in the later 2010s, in a remote part of the Yosemite National Park – Agents are tasked with investigating the sudden reappearance of a child, gone missing some 30 years ago.
My experience with this scenario was nothing short of epic. My lovely group of 3 players faced a uniquely adult situation, leaving them somber and excited for what came next. The ominous presence of heavy rain and towering trees led to a bleak atmosphere as a result of costly decisions. The primary antagonists featured in this scenario are a tragically underused entity, with plenty of lore to explore for future installments.
I couldn’t have agreed more with the opening statement of any other scenario: there are indeed some lost things that should have never been found.
